I am a burnout coach. I help leaders to thrive in high pressure environments and not burn out.

Through executive coaching, leadership development, and resilience training (three of the best researched methods for burnout prevention), I have been helping leaders over the past decade move into their zone of genius and capitalise on their strengths to accomplish their goals while keeping their worklife balance as a Certified Strengths Coach.

Moreover, for over 20 years, I have helped organisations change their cultures. Certified as a Workplace Health Consultant since 2007, part of my work was enabling organisations to put in place the kind of work environments that promoted wellness and psychological health. In 2014, I was one of the speakers appointed as part of a national initiative to bring mental health awareness to companies.

A Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a Master in Human Nutrition, I am a Certified Health Coach working with clients on energy management as part of peak performance.

Some of the organisations the leader I work with come from include Agility, Agoda, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Binance, Celanese, Coca Cola, Citibank, Deliveroo, Ernst & Young, FWD, GE, KPMG, Line Corporation, Micron, Nestle, Ogilvy, Olympus, P&G, Paypal, Pentair, Prudential, PWC, Sanofi, Singapore Airlines, Spotify, Standard Chartered, Uber, Unilever, and Veolia.

In addition, I train people to become professional coaches, leaders to become non-professional coaches, and mentor new coaches.

  • What is the difference between coaching, mentoring, counselling, consulting, facilitating, and training?
Mainly that in coaching, the coach does not tell you what to do, give you advice, or teach you anything. At this point, you may be wondering, “what is the point of coaching then?” To quote a fellow coach, I find that most of us have too many people telling us what they think we should do with our lives, when what we need is the time and space to explore what we need to do for our own lives. Coaching is that time and space, supported by a non-judgemental, objective supporter who truly believes you are capable and resourceful enough to solve all your issues and achieve all your goals. A coach is a partner who will create a safe space for you to meet yourself where you’re at, relook at your limiting mindsets, and choose a more useful perspective for moving forward. I am also a mentor. I mentor new coaches starting on their coaching journeys. Unlike a coach, a mentor is someone uses his or her experience to help you chart out the path going forward. In my case, I listen to the coaching sessions of my mentees and give them feedback to improve their coaching skills. I also help them brainstorm their coaching niche, and give them advice on how they might launch their coaching careers. In addition, I am a trainer. I train both leaders who want to pick up coaching skills to use in their work and those wanting to become certified professional coaches. Moreover, I am a facilitator. As part of my work with organisations, I facilitate sessions aimed at helping their people develop a coaching mindset as part of the organisations’ coaching culture. Lastly, I am a consultant. I consult companies looking for a culture change towards more of a coaching culture internally. What I’m not, is a counsellor or therapist. Counsellors and therapist work with those who need help with their mental health. I work only with those who are of sound mind and in good mental health.
  • What is coaching?
Coaching is a space and time for you to explore with judgment, examine your own blind spots, and grow to your greatest potential professionally and personally. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the world’s largest professional body for coaches, and they define coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
  • Is there any evidence that coaching works?
There’s been a fair amount of research done on coaching. You can refer to some of the papers here: 1. Why Coaching Works? a. Whitepaper: https://helloezra.com/resources/research/why-coaching-works b. Webinar: https://vimeo.com/812479199/bdae9b48f7 2. Why and How to Build Coaching Cultures in Organisations: https://coachingfederation.org/research/building-a-coaching-culture 3. Coaching and Leadership: https://www.welead.global/posts/43138862 4. • What are the benefits of coaching?
The biggest benefit is a mindset shift. That may not sound like much, but our perception of reality controls what happens in our lives. What we can see determines what we can do, which in turn determines the outcomes we reach. In terms of outcomes, what can you expect? Most of the coachees achieve all the programme outcomes they want in about half to a third of the time. What kind of outcomes? Some examples of real outcomes my clients have reached include enterprise reorganisation, managing up, people development, career progression, visibility to senior leadership, stakeholder management, and worklife balance.
  • How do I know if I am ready to be coached?
You are ready to be coached if you are willing to be honest with yourself and your coach, and willing to examine the issues you bring and their underlying causes without defensiveness.
  • How do I know if I need coaching?
You need coaching if you feel like you need to move into your zone of genius, discover your blind spots, and shift mindsets that are holding you back from your greatest potential.
  • When is coaching needed?
Coaching is needed when the issue is complex enough to demand a unique solution. If there is a best practice or a standard answer, one of the other modalities (training, consulting, mentoring, etc) is more suited. However, for many of the problems facing leaders these days, the answer is not immediately obvious, and the best solution varies depending on the organisation and the stakeholders involved. For these sorts of situations, coaching is best.
  • Are results guaranteed?
Coaching, like all other self-work, cannot be guaranteed. I can guarantee that I will do my best work with you, but I cannot guarantee any results or resolutions to your situations.
  • Can I have a trial session?
You can book a coaching chemistry call. While not exactly a ‘trial session’, this complimentary online session will allow you to understand how the coaching sessions will go, find out if you and I have the right chemistry to partner with each other, and learn if the issues you bring to the table are best dealt with using coaching or another modality.
  • Do you offer team coaching or group coaching?
Yes, I offer both team (intact team) and group (non-intact team) coaching. These sessions are for 4-8 persons and last 120 minutes each. Click here to book an exploratory session on my calendar to discuss your needs.
  • Do you have a money-back guarantee?
No, I don’t. Unfortunately, coaching is really about how I can support you to reach your outcomes and therefore results cannot be guaranteed. However, I will strongly encourage you to book a complimentary coaching chemistry call with me first. This will enable you to grasp the dynamics of the coaching sessions, assess compatibility between us, and determine whether coaching is the most suitable approach for addressing the issues you present or if another method would be more effective.
  • How long are the sessions?
Each session is 60 minutes for individual sessions and 120 minutes for team or group sessions.
  • How do I book a coaching session with you?
I strongly encourage you to book a coaching chemistry call first. This complimentary session will enable you to understand my coaching style and see if we have good compatibility. Click here to book a coaching chemistry session on my calendar.
  • Are the coaching sessions 1-to-1?
I have both 1-to-1 sessions and group sessions. Most clients book 1-to-1 sessions.
  • How do I book a coaching chemistry call?

  • Are the sessions held online or in-person?
